Brett Kavanaugh accumulated thousands in credit card debt from buying Washington Nationals tickets: Report

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh accumulated credit card debt from buying baseball tickets, a new report says.

Kavanaugh reported incurring between $60,000 to $200,000 in credit card debt in 2016, the Washington Post reports. He additionally reported having the same amount of debt in 2006, the year he joined the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

In both cases, the debt was spread between three credit cards and a loan.

Small town councilwoman allegedly bit jailor’s thumb so hard it broke

This Kansas councilwoman has earned herself more criminal charges than votes.

Huron City Council member Carol Fowler allegedly kicked, hit and scratched officers June 29 while resisting arrest for failing to appear in court on unrelated charges. The altercation got so out of hand that a deputy used a taser to subdue her, according to the Atchison Globe.

Fowler, 48, was booked at Atchison County Jail, but the trouble didn’t end there.

Three days later, the councilwoman refused to comply with the booking process and attacked corrections officers in a second altercation on July 2, according to local TV station KSHB. Fowler had been asked to remove jewelry and other personal items, but she refused and allegedly bit down on a deputy’s thumb so hard that it broke a bone.
