Earth has magnetic poles that sucks you to it. Even if you're in the air, it still pulls you down. Same with plane, it will pull plane down. Plane has forward thrust so plane gets pulled down and it moves forward. You can only float if you're far away from earth's magnetic pull.
you put 2 magnets together, 1 side attracts and other side repels. Thats how compass works - 1 side is attracted to north which is why it points north.
everything has a charge, we are all magnetic. It doesnt have to be a physical magnet, it can be an electromagnet. Eg a coil around a pole can create a magnetic field. I dont know how Earth is charged, but if you sum Earth up, it will have a north and a south point … its always changing too. Maps gets updated with these pole variances … poles been moving faster and faster lately.
