>Was wondering if Ben just said No. Popcorn-powered golden years after finishing out his position in the Greatest Show On Heaven & Earth.

What both Vance and Carson have (but none of the others named as contenders had… I think) was:

1) real life experience of overcoming hardship

2) practical success at high levels in ways most normies understand (marker for demonstration of actual ability)

3) rejection of elite norms/recognition that elites are corrupt

>Again, I hate to keep calling this out, but to say “all elites are corrupt” is both not true and makes our party seem weird and judgey

But the ACTUAL NORMS inculcated in elite institutions tend to be actually corrupt in our times.

But the fact that someone went to Harvard or Yale or Princeton does not mean that they sacrifice babies to Satan, and might actually be a marker for merit (if not always).
