Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks' parents registered Pennsylvania professional counselors: Records

Both of would-be Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks' parents are social workers in Pennsylvania since 2002, records show

(Reposting because there is something very strange about these parents, didn’t they know their son was seriously messed up? Or did they give him counseling?)

The parents of the 20-year-old who unleashed a barrage of gunfire toward former President Trump arelicensed professional counselors through the Pennsylvania social work board. (so are they counseling poor children, abused children, what is their record, this is how they get them)

Mary Elizabeth Crooks and Matthew Brian Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, are licensed as professional counselors, according to the Pennsylvania Department of State Licensing System Verification service.

The 20-year-old attempted assassin's parents both have active licenses, the service said.

Both Mary and Matthew's licenses expire in February 2025, and they have been professional counselors since 2002, the records showed.

Thomas' family home is now the subject of an ongoing FBI investigation after the shooting on Saturday at a Trump rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania.

Crooks' motive in the shooting remains unclear.

Records showed Crooks was registered as a Republican voter, but campaign finance reports also showed he gave $15 to a progressive political action committee on Jan. 20, 2021, the day President Biden was sworn into office.

(So was he MKUktrad by his parents? They should not be around children ever. The father bought the rifle for him, something fucking weird here.call to dig on them anons)

Widow of ex-chief killed in Trump rally shooting reveals his final words – and passed on phone call with Biden

Io Dodds (they;ve always got to inject their stupid opinions)

Mon, 15 July 2024 at 7:19 pm GMT

The bystander who died to an assassin's bullet at a Trump rally on Saturdayused his last breaths to tell his family to take cover, his widow has said.

Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old former volunteer fire chief from Sarver, Pennsylvania, was in the stands near Donald Trump's podium when a gunman opened fire from a rooftop, meaning to kill the former president.

Comperatore reportedly threw his body over those of his wife and two children to shield them from the gunfire, and was shot in the head. His last words, his widow said, were simply "get down!"

"He’s my hero," Helen Comperatore told The New York Post at the couple's home on Monday. "He just said, ‘get down!’ That was the last thing he said.”

She also revealed thatshe had turned down the offer of a condolatory phone call from Joe Biden, saying: "I didn’t want to talk to him. My husband was a devout Republican and he would not have wanted me to talk to him."

Nevertheless, she appeared to reject some Republicans' claims to pin blame for the shooting on Biden himself.

"I’m not one of those people that gets involved in politics," she said. "I support Trump, that’s who I’m voting for,but I don’t have ill-will towards Biden. He didn’t do anything to my husband. A 20-year-old despicable kid did."

She added she had not yet heard from Trump.

The FBI has identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, as the man who attempted to assassinate Trump before being shot dead by counter-snipers.

Not much is known about Crooks's politics, and almost nothing about why he might have wanted to kill a presidential candidate. He had donated to a Democrat group in 2021, but was registered to vote as a Republican, and former classmates described him as right-leaning or apolitical.

Nevertheless, multiple Republican politicians have accused Biden of stoking hate against his opponent by repeatedly describing him as a threat to democracy. (Well that is true)

"Today is not just some isolated incident," said Ohio senator JD Vance, who has since been confirmed as Trump's 2024 running mate. "The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs. That rhetoric led directly to President Trump's attempted assassination."

Describing the moment of her husband's death, Helen Comperatore said that they had hoped for simply "a nice day with the family" supporting the candidate that they both planned to vote for.

The couple had been high school sweethearts, she said, and were soon to celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary.

"He was a simple man, but he put his wife and kids first all the time," she said. "I did nothing here. I didn’t lift a finger. He did everything."

(I wonder if we can send her cards of condolence or some message of comfort?)

Sheriff says building used by shooter "wasn't our responsibility"

A Pennsylvania sheriff said his agency wasn't responsible for protecting or securing the building that the shooter used to attack Saturday's rally.

CBS Pittsburgh station KDKA-TV reporter Andy Sheehan asked Butler County Sheriff Michael Slupe if there was enough communication from the Secret Service about securing the building.

"I can't speak to that because, you know, as far as the building goes, I don't know because it wasn't our responsibility, but they did have a very good briefing," Slupe told KDKA-TV. "And, like I said earlier, somewhere along the line, you have a briefing and you identify, adapt and overcome. And there are a lot of well-trained police officers that totally have the ability to do that."

Asked if there was a plan to secure the building, Slupe said, "I have no idea about that. I have no idea. I don't."

Slupe also said his agency wasn't asked to sweep the building.

"No, the sheriff's office was not asked to do that, and I don't know whose responsibility that would have been if that was in their plan," he said.
