Trump appears at Republican convention with bandaged ear
Daily Mail
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump made his first public appearance with a large bandage on his ear at the party's convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Monday July 15 after a weekend assassination attempt. Trump's right ear was grazed by a bullet in a shooting during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday July 13, in which one supporter was killed and two others were wounded. The former president appeared moved by the crowd’s cheers as he stood in a box with some of his children and U.S. Senator J.D. Vance, Trump's choice for running mate announced earlier in the day. The four-day convention opened hours after Trump secured a major legal victory when a federal judge dismissed one of his criminal prosecutions. Trump is due to formally accept the party's nomination in a prime-time speech on Thursday July 18 and will face Democratic President Joe Biden in the Nov. 5 election.
