DHS Office of Inspector General Announces Reviews of Secret Service Process for Securing Trump Campaign Event on July 13, 2024, and Secret Service Counter Sniper Preparedness and Operations

On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Inspector

General (OIG) initiated a review to examine the process implemented by the United States Secret Service (USSS) to secure a political campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024.

On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, DHS OIG initiated a review of USSS Counter Sniper Team preparedness and operations. Our objective is to determine the extent to which the Secret Service Counter Sniper Team is prepared for, and responds to, threats at events attended by

designated protectees.

DHS OIG continues to consider other reviews related to USSS programs and operations that may arise. DHS OIG will coordinate its reviews with other law enforcement partners, as appropriate.

Does anyone remember the Q post with a photo? The one where the photo was taken from the back seat of a vehicle within the motorcade? AF1 was in view I believe out the front window and you could see the back of the 2 secret service agents heads that were in the front seats.
