A Cessna 402B ditched into the Tred Avon River in Easton, Maryland, about 7 km short of runway 4 at Easton/Newnam Field Airport (ESN). The aircraft was located by search teams fully submerged under water, the pilot was killed in the crash.

The pilot had reported a loss of engine power.
