Hypocrisy trap?

Thinking back to the Greek financial crisis and Germany/EU dissing on the Greeks for not paying up & joking about taking a few islands as payment, etc.

Trump has their ass nailed to a wall with non-payment of NATO commitments, so the next time the EU elites want to publicly shame a member country for not paying back debts they can also be publicly held up as the hypocrites that they are.

I think the Brexiters could use this to their advantage in any EU 'divorce' negotiations. UK is paid up with NATO. Same can be said for any country wanting to leave, paid up on NATO or not. The 'welching on debts' card has been taken off the table, IMO.
