Video Games teach you how important working as a team is. Everyone brings unique abilities to the team so it is important for the Leader to harness this with team cohesion. I can go on and on about how I learned vital skills from gaming but it can get addicting so diet, sunlight, exercise, and self-control is important too.
First person shooters teach you about positioning and line of sight amongst some other stuff. Useful 'simulation' to get good at.
But all video games in general improve your eye-hand coordination and mental sharpness which trickles over into everything Military related.
