Former Trump Org CFO Allen Weisselberg released from Rikers Island early

Former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg was released early on Friday from Rikers Island, after serving just three of his five-month prison sentence for lying under oath.

Weisselberg, 76, pleaded guilty to two counts of perjury in March, and was sentenced to five months at Rikers Island in April. The retired CFO was also served 100 days at Rikers Island in 2023 for charges related to a tax fraud scheme.

The former Trump executive has been reunited with his family, according to his lawyer Seth Rosenberg, and his release was also confirmed by New York City's Department of Corrections, the Associated Press reported.
