If the victim gets whisked away and has agreed ahead of time to be relocated or stay incognito until later, then everyone thinks they died. The only people who probably have to be in on it are very immediate family. Not saying that's what DID happen, but I think it could have been done.
They wouldn't have to be in on it at all…they would think it was real. Hopefully the wife at least would know the truth.

Yeah, and I saw one of another guy who said he provided care and seemed pretty emotional. Did not seem fake to me, but I've been fooled by a lot of things and people, so I don't know what is true anymore.
