Yep. Now is the time for us to use what we have learned, somehow without autistically sperging out. Remember, we are many layers deeper than normies. I don’t ever expect to reach the people on my FB friends list who changed their profile pics to Kameltoe but we can probably plant a handful of seeds for the people who are mad that Joe is totally not being considered in this shitshow.
That’s fucked up.
I think this really shows something though. We have to find common ground with people. Obviously I’m pretty sure we won’t find it with the people who want us dead, but most people are decent. We all care about something. I have gotten so many normies interested in digging for truth by using shared love of music. Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell are a great jumping off point. Avicii for the younger ones. I’m not sure that digs will help now, but we need to live on this planet with these people, and since we have info that they do not concerning the welfare of this rock and its inhabitants, we are somewhat obliged to share.
Anon bet the farm on this and wrote a book about it. Humbling moment for me. Funny how the evidence can be right in a person’s face. They know what we know. But the question is what have they not been able to spin? That’s why I picked the music angle. They can say “oh, uh, no, don’t look at that” all they like, but for some reason it is harder to shut those things down.

I think this is why things like “Quiet On Set” actually broke through to normies. We all know celebrities and for some reason, a lot of people care very deeply about them, maybe even more deeply than they care about their own families. So they find out what these people endured and it shocks them to their core.
The former. People mourn celebrities like members of their family. They feel a hole in their hearts when a musician dies. I couldn’t even explain why Chester Bennington’s death got under my skin back in 2017, I wasn’t even a Linkin Park fan. But it did. It hit me hard. And there are a lot of people like me, apparently.
But also the latter. (Am on mobile and can’t easily access thread to see what I’m replying to, damn it.) That’s what I wrote about. Control and handling those who get out of line.
I wish I could say you were right about this, anon. Grew up around libertarians in the 90s, they were a hooligan bunch being taken over by stuffed-shirt pansies, and in turn, the stuffed-shirt pansies were run out by pink-haired cunts. Not all, of course, but the movement is a mess.
Why thank you, I have needed a new movie to add to my list.
This has followed me from phone to phone since 2017 because I cannot bear not to have it. Maybe this moment is why. I pray for Shinoda, that he will keep himself out of trouble. And I pray for Chester’s kids, and for all the LP fans who took the narrative of his death as read. We learned a lot from that moment in history, and we each take from our experiences what we can.
I did a very deep dive into their music in 2017 and it blew me away to see all the overt references to the willful soullessness of the industry (and the connections to the DS like in “Wretches and Kings”). I have never in my life felt so inspired to create things, to build a better and happier narrative, to see this shit burn to the ground and salt sown upon the ruins. They have fucked with us all, and it is time for them to find out.
Indeed. And it always intrigued me that it was sort of broken. Speculation back in 2017 was that their concerts were used by traffickers. That would make a fair amount of sense, but I never found proof of this.
I remember being told a story once about Chris Cornell though. He was doing a show with Audioslave, and an acquaintance had backstage passes. Acquaintance gets back there, and it’s him and a dozen young teen girls (13-14). He said that Chris seemed very unhappy to see all the kids there, but that Tom Morello was over the moon. Just a curiosity, but I think of it all the time.
Anon has the goods. Thank you for sharing. That is horrible and disgusting and I hate that I can’t look away. I have saved this and will do further research. A huge shame, Warrant was one of the best in their genre. Have to sign off for the night, but huge pleasure chatting with you. Prayers for the world to see this hideous darkness, because in so doing, they can better appreciate the light.
