Former BBC news presenter Huw Edwards, who resigned from the BBC on medical advice in April, saw his salary increase by £40,000 last year.
Edwards was suspended in July 2023 over allegations in The Sun newspaper of paying a young person for sexually explicit photos.
Police did not take any action against him, saying there was no evidence that a criminal offence had been committed.
He received between £435,000 and £439,999 in the year 2022/2023, which rose to £475,000 – £479,999 between April 2023 and April 2024, the BBC’s latest annual report shows.
Edwards remained on the payroll while suspended, which is normal BBC policy.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, around half of Earth's oxygen comes from the ocean.
The production can typically be linked to oceanic plankton, drifting plants, algae and certain bacteria, with all four are capable of photosynthesis.
Scientists are searching for the explanation behind a rather strange phenomenon: at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean there are large amounts of oxygen being produced by an unknown source. The finding is odd, to say the least, considering that photosynthesis is impossible in such deep, dark depths.
“We have another source of oxygen on the planet, other than photosynthesis,” said Andrew Sweetman, a study co-author, and a sea-floor ecologist at the Scottish Association for Marine Science in Oban, UK.
He adds that the findings could have implications for understanding how life on Earth first began, as well as the possible impact of deep-sea mining in the region.
Sweetman first observed the phenomenon in 2013 while studying the Clarion-Clipperton zone which is an area between Mexico and Hawaii. At the time Sweetman believed he had faulty equipment when it showed him oxygen was being made on the seafloor.
Donald Canfield, a biogeochemist at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, said the observation is “fascinating,” but added that it is “frustrating, because it raises a lot of questions and not very many answers”.

Australia in the midst of a baby recession, according to new KPMG analysis
Using ABS data, KPMG calculated a total of 289,100 births in Australia last year — a decrease of around 13,000 babies on 2022.
This was even lower than the Covid period birth numbers of just 293,700 in 2020.
"That's quite a significant drop and we had to look back to the 1970s to see the same level of decline," KPMG urban economist Terry Rawnsley said.

Military aircraft crashes near the NT's Daly River during Exercise Pitch Black
An Italian military aircraft has crashed in a remote part of the Northern Territory during a multinational defence exercise.
NT police confirmed the crash occurred about 18 kilometres south-west of Daly River on Wednesday morning.
"The pilot has been conveyed to hospital for precautionary checks but is otherwise safe and well," an NT police spokesperson said.
A Defence spokesperson said the pilot was an international participant in Exercise Pitch Black and was "ejected" from their aircraft while flying it.
"Australian Defence Force personnel responded immediately and professionally at 10:45am to an aircraft emergency in the exercise area and coordinated recovery of the pilot with a search and rescue helicopter," they said.
"The exercise participant made immediate contact with aircrew in the area via radio following their ejection."

A free media, we are told, is the bedrock of democracy. But freedom from what? Certainly, government interference in media exists. But plutocratic elites also exert massive pressure on media, especially corporate-owned outlets.
