Reality Check for ‘Queers for Palestine’ Delivered Directly From Palestinian Leaders-“Homosexuals Should Be Thrown Head First From The Rooftop Of The Tallest Building:”

by Margaret Flavin Jun. 10, 2024

Since the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks against civilians, groups like “Gays for Palestine” and “Queers for Palestine” have become a vocal and visible part of pro-Hamas rallies on American college campuses and in protests in the streets of American cities.

Recently, “Queers for Palestine” blocked the exit to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, while chanting“Free, free Palestine!” and holding up banners.

And while these groups may passionately and enthusiastically yell anti-Semitic genocidal chats like “From the River to the Sea,” perhaps they should take a beat and really listen to what prominent Palestinian Islamic, political, and cultural figures really think about them.

MEMRI shared a collection of statements from Palestinian leaders, which state, in the strongest terms, that the Palestinian people “will not accept a single homosexual” on the land of Palestine and that homosexuals “should be thrown head first from the rooftop of the tallest building.”

MEMRI reports:

Jenin Islamic Scholar Abd Al-Rahman Al-Zayoud: In Islamic Society, Homosexuality And Lesbianism Are Punishable By Death – September 17, 2023

“What is the local culture? The Islamic culture. If this call clashes with the local culture, the laws and covenants of the United Nations – which call for homosexuality – must be followed. So what do they want from us? What do they want from this society that follows the Islamic culture, which sees homosexuality and lesbianism as punishable by death? They want us to respect this and strip us of our religion.”

Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam Mohammed Saleem Ali In Homophobic Diatribe During Friday Sermon: The Palestinian People Will Not Allow A Single Homosexual On Our Land; Such Perversion Brings The Wrath Of Allah On Us All – July 6, 2022

“Our Muslim Palestinian people will not accept a single homosexual openly declaring his abomination. Will you allow a single homosexual on the land of Jerusalem and Palestine? Will you allow that? No. Our people will not allow there to be institutions that promote this abomination, on the blessed, and pure land of Palestine.”

Palestinian Islamic Scholar Sheikh Yousef Abu Islam: Homosexuals Should Be Thrown Off Rooftops, Stoned To Death; Allah Will Punish Us Like Sodom If We Don’t Fight This Abomination – June 26, 2022

“Allah punished male and female adulterers [only] with flogging or stoning, but when He decided to punish homosexuals, He said that they should be thrown head first from the rooftop of the tallest building, and then they should be stoned from the top.”

Nigeria recalling gold reserves from U.S., U.K. as world increasingly abandons corrupt Western finance pyramid scheme

Saturday July 6, 2024

The global financial system appears to be in peril, which is prompting more and more countries to recall their gold reserves from countries like the United States and the United Kingdom.

The latest nation to claw back its gold from the West is Nigeria, which is reportedly repatriating 21 tons of gold amid ongoing economic concerns like runaway inflation and escalating geopolitical tensions.

In order to minimize the risk of major losses, Nigeria has decided that its gold is best stored domestically rather than in volatile places like the U.S. and the U.K. that appear to be getting dethroned by an emerging new world order.

"Economic indicators such as rising inflation, escalating debt levels, and geopolitical tensions have raised apprehensions among Nigerian policymakers about the stability of the U.S. financial system," reported The Star, quoting Nigerian officials.

This "strategic decision," to quote economist Fatima Abubakar, is one of many "proactive measures" that Nigeria is taking "to safeguard its wealth and strengthen its financial resilience."

"By bringing its gold reserves back within its borders, Nigeria not only asserts greater control over its financial assets but also demonstrates prudence in managing economic risks amidst global uncertainties," Nigerian officials further revealed. )

Nobody trusts the West anymore

India is another country that recently decided to bring its gold home as well. Reports indicate that the world's most populous nation recalled 100 tons of its gold from vaults in the United Kingdom.

Increasingly, non-Western countries are questioning the legitimacy of the Western stranglehold over money in general. They are also figuring out the West's gold and dollar reserves scam, which is used as a foreign policy tool to control the world.

A 2023 survey conducted by the World Gold Council (WGC) found that a "substantial share" of central banks is anxious about what comes next for the world after the U.S. and other Western nations froze about half of Russia's $650 billion gold and FX holdings following the invasion of Ukraine.

About 68 percent of banks polled told the WGC that they intend to keep their gold holdings within their respective countries' borders moving forward. Back in 2020 before the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) "pandemic," only about 45 percent of central banks wanted to hold their gold reserves domestically.

"'If it's my gold, then I want it in my country,' has been the mantra we have seen in the last year or so," said Rod Ringrow, Invesco's head of formal institutions.

Currently and for a while now, the Federal Reserve private central banking cartel here in the U.S. has refused to divulge any information about the amount of gold held in its vaults. When asked back in March about it, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell "skirted questioning," to quote Great Game India.

Federal officials here in the U.S. are also refusing to comply with a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for records on gold holdings, which some believe suggests there is no gold at all in the vaults.

Headline USA reportedly filed the FOIA request, which also called for information about the amount of gold holdings before Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine. The Fed declined the request.

Back in 2019, long before COVID and the Russia-Ukraine war, Poland repatriated 100 tons of gold, as did Hungary and Romania. In the summer of 2017, Germany brought back about half of its gold reserves. Two years before that, Australia took steps to bring back half of its gold reserves as well.

Pentagon to Bolster Response to China and Russia’s Heightened Interest in the Arctic

Reuters July 23, 2024

By Danielle Bochove (Bloomberg) —

The US will expand its military readiness and surveillance in the Arctic given heightened Chinese and Russian interest coupled with new risks brought on by accelerating climate change, the Pentagon said in a new report.

Measures are needed “to ensure the Arctic does not become a strategic blind spot” as melting ice makes the region more accessible economically and militarily, according to the Defense Department’s 2024 Arctic Strategy released Monday.

Priorities include better surveillance of the vast region, as well as research into space-based missile warning systems, deeper coordination across NATO and with Canada through the North American Aerospace Defense Command, and improved satellite and data communications. The Pentagon also said it needs better modeling and forecasting of the rapidly changing environment to prepare for potential combat in increasingly unpredictable conditions so far north.

The Pentagon highlighted concern over a “growing alignment” between China and Russia, Washington’s two top national security competitors.

“Melting Arctic ice caps are opening new shipping lanes and attracting increased interest and activity from both the People’s Republic of China and Russia,” Kathleen Hicks, Deputy Secretary of Defense, said during a briefing Monday. China is “the only strategic competitor with the will and increasingly the wherewithal to remake the international order” while Russia “continues to pose an acute threat to security and stability in the region.”

Climate Change and Red Sea Turmoil to Boost Arctic Shipping

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has isolated it from the seven other nations that ring the Arctic, all of them now members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and made it more dependent on China, which is pursuing its own agenda in the region. Arctic countries in North America and Europe have also found themselves facing new threats, from GPS jamming to alleged spy balloons.

China, while not an Arctic nation, is attempting to gain influence, access “and play a larger role in regional governance.” It operates three icebreakers in the region for dual civil-military research and has tested unmanned underwater vehicles and polar-capable fixed-wing aircraft, the Pentagon said.

The Arctic is warming multiple times faster than any other region on earth, creating opportunities for countries with Arctic coastlines to exploit still largely theoretical mineral and energy resources.

The region’s strategic importance is also changing as sea ice melts, meaning the Bering Strait between Alaska and Russia and the Barents Sea north of Norway “are becoming more navigable and more economically and militarily significant,” according to the report.

“Climate change and the resulting shifts in the operating environment require us to rethink how we best protect our war fighters and prevent conflict,” Hicks said.

Russia continues to invest in new military infrastructure and refurbish Soviet-era installations in the region. As well, its Northern Fleet is based in the Kola Peninsula, along with submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

Russia has “a clear avenue of approach to the US homeland through the Arctic” and could use its capabilities there to stop the US from responding to crises in Europe or the Indo-Pacific region. Its maritime infrastructure could also allow it to control the Northern Sea Route, even in areas where it has no legal claims, according to the report.

“The United States is an Arctic nation, and the region is critical to the defense of our homeland, the protection of US national sovereignty and our defense treaty commitments,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in an attached memo. “Major geopolitical changes are driving the need for this new strategic approach to the Arctic.”

What Was Reid Hoffman’s Role In Funding E. Jean Carroll’s Case?

Ana Faguy Forbes Staff Updated May 10, 2023, 11:30am EDT

Topline

Billionaire LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman funded E. Jean Carroll’s prosecution alleging former President Donald Trump raped her, through a nonprofit group the major Democratic donor backs; now that a jury has found Trump guilty of sexual abuse, some have questioned Hoffman’s role in the process—here’s what it looked like.

Key Facts

Carroll’s legal battle was funded by American Future Republic, a nonprofit group primarily backed by Hoffman, her lawyers disclosed last month.

Hoffman’s involvement in the case came to light after Roberta Kaplan, Carroll’s lawyer, disclosed Hoffman’s role to the Trump legal team, who then sent a letter to the judge claiming the connection to Hoffman, a big Democratic donor, called into question Carroll’s motives for suing.

The judge allowed Trump’s defense team to question Carroll about Hoffman’s funding, after Trump’s defense pointed out an October deposition in which Carroll testified no one else was paying her legal fees.

On the first day of the trial, in a since deleted Truth Social post, Trump claimed Carroll’s team attempted to hide the case was “financed by a big political donor.”

Dmirtri Mehlhorn, one of Hoffman’s philanthropic advisors, said they provide third-party funding to legal efforts to “protect our citizens from violent threats,” and in those cases the “clients generally do not know our identity.”

Mehlhorn said in Carroll’s case, the grant was made before Carroll filed suit and they had “no prior knowledge that our funding would go to support her in particular.”

After increased attention over his role in Carroll’s case, Hoffman posted on LinkedIn to defend his involvement in the case, describing his commitment to “protecting the rule of law” from the threat of Trump’s “scorched-earth legal methods,” also noting that Trump’s “hostility” to women has been a theme of his ideology for “his entire adult life.”

Hoffman pushed back against Trump’s lawyers' description of the funding as being hidden and said he’d “never taken any steps to hide the financial support” he provided to the lawsuit.

While Hoffman is known for his work founding LinkedIn, he’s also a big Democratic donor, funding a number of Democratic causes, candidates and legal battles, including civil lawsuits filed by the victims of the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, according to a post on LinkedIn.

At the Same Time Biden Lost US Airbases in Niger the former US Ally was Negotiating Sale of 300 Tons of Yellowcake Uranium with Iran

by Jim Hoft June 16, 2024

At the same time the Biden Administration managed to lose important US airbases paid for by US taxpayers in Niger, the former US ally was negotiating refined uranium deal with the Iranian regime.

Niger cemented an alliance with Iran with a secret yellowcake uranium deal in April.

This was around the same time Niger authorities decided to force US military personnel from the country. The US invested over $100 million in just one airbase in the country!

It is impossible to adequately explain how dangerous Joe Biden’s anti-American regime has been to global stability.

Our Gateway Pundit friend Banafsheh Zand reported at Iran International:

Recent reporting suggests that after covert negotiations, Iran and Niger have agreed on a $56 million deal to see Tehran acquire 300 tons of refined uranium.

First reported by the France-based media outlet Africa Intelligence in late April, it was revealed that Niger’s military junta had engaged in “secret negotiations” with Iran for the delivery of 300 tons of yellowcake in exchange for drones and surface-to-air missiles.

Yellowcake is a concentrated form of uranium oxide, appearing as a yellowish powder. It is produced from uranium ore and serves as an intermediate step in making nuclear fuel or weapons.

French newspaper Le Monde has since corroborated the clandestine negotiations – and reports that the specific type of uranium is produced in the mines belonging to a French company.

Uranium, Le Monde reported, is Niger’s most important export product and comes from mines that have been exploited since 1971 by the French group Orano in Arlit, located in north-central Niger.

Niger’s Junta government has denied the secret negotiations and agreement.

According to Africa Intelligence, as part of the agreement, Tehran would provide large-capacity generators to Niamey to address Niger’s energy deficit and support agricultural conversion efforts. These initiatives were launched by the new government, which came to power in a coup d’état on July 26, 2023.

This comes after the Biden administration agreed in May to remove the remaining US troops from Niger by September. The approximately 1,000 troops will leave the two US military bases in the country to the new regime.

Russian forces are already in the country and actually share the same base as US troops.

Why does a NATO member suddenly want to join BRICS?

By Murad Sadygzade 29 June 2024

There are benefits and drawbacks to Türkiye potentially joining the bloc of emerging economies

At the beginning of this month, news of Türkiye’s desire to join BRICS drew global media attention. The announcement was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during his visit to China. “Of course, we would like to become a member of BRICS. Let’s see what we can achieve this year,” said the minister, as quoted by the South China Morning Post.

This issue was also discussed at the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting in Nizhny Novgorod, attended by Türkiye’s chief diplomat, Hakan Fidan. Türkiye’s desire to join is not entirely new – during the BRICS summit of 2018, where Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was a participant, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Ankara could join in 2022. However, subsequent events on the world stage apparently delayed that ambition, and Ankara is only now showing renewed interest.

Why Does Türkiye Want to Join BRICS?

Türkiye shows significant interest in joining BRICS, seeing it as an important step toward enhancing its international influence and economic potential. This aspiration is driven by several key factors related to economic, political, and geostrategic aspects.

Possessing one of the largest economies in the region, Türkiye aims to diversify its economic ties and strengthen cooperation with rapidly developing countries. Joining BRICS would give Ankara access to a vast market and opportunities to increase trade and investment with the leading economies of the developing world. This is especially important in the context of global economic challenges and uncertainties, where diversifying partners becomes a key factor for sustainable growth.

Türkiye has repeatedly faced financial difficulties and restrictions imposed by Western financial institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. Joining BRICS would provide Türkiye with access to the New Development Bank and the Contingent Reserve Arrangement, allowing it to secure funding on more favorable terms and with fewer political commitments. This is particularly relevant for Türkiye, which seeks to maintain its economic independence and minimize external pressure.

Türkiye actively supports the idea of a multipolar world, where the balance of power is more evenly distributed among various regions and countries. BRICS, advocating for multipolarity and fair global governance, represents an attractive platform for Türkiye, which strives to enhance its political independence from Western countries and blocs such as the European Union and NATO.

In this context, it is also worth noting that Ankara views its desire to join BRICS as a gesture towards the EU, a bloc it once sought to join. This is confirmed by the words of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. During his visit to China, he noted that some European countries oppose Türkiye’s accession to the EU, and thus Turkish authorities see BRICS as an alternative platform for integration. “We cannot ignore the fact that BRICS, as an important cooperation platform, offers some other countries a good alternative. … We see potential in BRICS,” he explained.

Russia Loads Fourth Sanctioned Sovcomflot Tanker in Snub to West

Bloomberg July 24, 2024

Russia loaded a fourth sanctioned tanker owned by state-run Sovcomflot PJSC, testing the resolve of Group of Seven nations who’re attempting to clamp down on the fleet of ships moving Moscow’s oil.

The Viktor Bakaev left the Baltic Sea port of Primorsk on Sunday, hauling a cargo of about 730,000 barrels of Urals crude, ship tracking data compiled by Bloomberg show. It’s heading to Zhoushan in China.

The ship was named by the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control in December for breaching a G-7 price cap on Russian oil exports. This is its first cargo loading since.

It’s the fourth such tanker recently put into use by Russia after months sitting idle. The number of vessels subject to sanction by either the US, EU or UK increased to 62 last week when British authorities targeted 11 ships.

The three prior Sovcomflot tankers all appeared carried out transfers at sea out of view of digital vessel-tracking systems, satellite imagery shows.

Sovcomflot didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The more Russia manages to deploy the vessels, the less disruptive sanctions will be.

Watch: Houthi Drone Boat Destroyed by Armed Guards

Mike Schuler July 23, 2024

A new video circulating online shows an alleged attack on the M/V Pumba in the Red Sea using an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) seemingly loaded with explosives.

The USV was subsequently destroyed after Pumba’s embarked armed security team returned fire on the vessel, causing it to explode just off the stern.

Houthis spokesperson claimed the group targeted the Pumba in the Red Sea on July 20, describing the vessel as an “American ship.”

The M/V Pumba is a Liberian-flagged containership. Equasis data shows it is owned by an affiliate of Sea Lead Shipping based in Singapore.
