Sullivan: The White House received word that the convening authority had entered these pre-trial agreements that had been negotiated with military prosecutors with KSM [Khalid Sheikh Mohammed] and some of the other 9/11 defendants. We had no role in that process. [Biden] had no role. [Harris] had no role. I had no role. The White House had no role.
Reporter: Does [Biden] still plan to close Guantanamo Bay prison before he leaves office, and is there a realistic pathway to do that in the next six months?
Jean-Pierre: That is still something [Biden] wants to do and get done. As far as a timeline, don't have anything for you here, but obviously this is something he wanted to be done under his administration…it is something he is determined to get done.
