and since the US was the defacto world currency inflation here wouldn't ruin our nation but it would ruin other nations, whohad to pay in dollars. So there would always be a high demand for them no matter how much was printed.
It's why some nations could grow with unbridled growth (the ones who benefit from the situation) and other nations would constantly have currency crises.
When I finally figured it out I understood finally why so many people hate the United States.
