I bet that donate button and displayed percentage brought in best donations in a long time. If it actually shut down and just went to donate until it got to 100%, with any overages going to next month, I bet they'd cover all costs. My idea is an effective one.
And we need more dollar options for the non-monthly donates.
If they automated the shutdown at 12:00 PM on final day of month and everyone knew it was coming, they might only have to do it once. Maybe for starters just shut it down for 3 days and then open it back up, or make the number of down days variable to keep us on our toes.
