Many people long for the 50s and early 60s. Yes it was orderly but never felt peaceful to a lot of us, too much focus on appearances ("What would the neighbors think???") Under the surface there was hidden stuff….by mid 50s Kinsey sex stuff and lots of Freudian and behaviorist ideas were being pushed for the future….same with seed oils and processed foods…
Why my generation was so restless, we sensed something was wrong and tried to push back wo/knowing what to do. Here it is 60 years later and it's all finally coming out…..
