There is no basis for this.
I have tried to reseach quantum computing. There is very little out there.
The basic principle is that it gets "every answer", including wrong answers.
So then you need a way to sift through the answers.
Some kind of frequency analysis is the current approach - Fourier transform IIRC.
But this means that the order of magnitude of time taken remains the same.
I have not seen any evidence that there is even the start of an approach that could massivley change the order of magnitude of time taken to solve a generic problem like encryption.
So for now, this could be vaporware
If someone knows better, please enlighten us.
Now there might very well be a solution to the problem coming. I say this because they were talking about neural networks a stupidly long time ago, and then when AI finally emerged, it IS a neural network-based design. So it seems that someone somewhere knows something in advance. And maybe they know that about quantum computing
