🇲🇱🇺🇦 Mali Breaks Ties with Ukraine Over State-Sponsored Terrorism

Mali has severed diplomatic relations with Ukraine due to Kiev’s support for international terrorism, announced Malian government spokesman Abdoulaye Maiga on national TV channel ORTM-1.

The Malian transitional government expressed shock at statements by Andriy Yusov, a representative of Ukrainian military intelligence, who acknowledged Ukraine’s involvement in an attack by armed terrorist groups in Tinzahuaten, resulting in the deaths of Malian defense and security forces. These remarks were supported by Yuriy Pivovarov, Ukraine’s ambassador to Senegal, who openly declared Ukraine’s support for international terrorism, particularly in Mali.

Following these admissions, Mali decided to immediately sever diplomatic relations with Ukraine, accusing it of being controlled by external influences. Prior to this, the Senegalese Foreign Ministry summoned the Ukrainian ambassador over a video supporting terrorists in Mali and condemned the terrorist attack.
