Abridge means to deprive or to cut off. Gag orders are illegal according to the Constitution and the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land and cannot be overriden by any State Law nor any Judges decisions. It is an Immutable right.
Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech.
Supreme Clause
The Supremacy Clause is a crucial provision in Article VI, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, which establishes the supremacy of federal law over state law. It states:
“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby; any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”
