A 19-year-old blacksmith named Tristan Dare has created this sword forged from a 4.5 billion year-old meteorite. Dare's masterpiece, aptly named "Nebula," owes its otherworldly origins to a rare meteorite known as "Swiss Sky Iron" (Muonionalusta). Purchased from Germany in early 2022, it struck Earth a million years ago and endured four ice ages before its discovery in 1906.
With only around 40 fragments known to exist worldwide, the material itself is a precious commodity.
Its blade features water-patterned steel, achieved through forging at temperatures approaching 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit (1,200 degrees Celsius).
