Summer is winding down in south central Alaska. First summer in my 32 years here that there are no bees or butterflies to speak of, and very few songbirds. Garden veggies haven't grown worth a damn for at least 5 years now. Lucky to get 2 zucchini from a plant. Tomatoes are few, small, and late to ripen.
Anon can stay out in the sun for hours and not get burned, which is totally new and different.
