If i was in Putin’s position, I’d appeal to the Russian people to seal the border, grow their own food, make music and love and wait out the global shitshow to come.
Even better, Putin could dare to uncover the work of Andrzej Łobaczewski and offer to host gatherings from around the globe to discuss the insanity that has gripped governments and societies dragging humanity down to Hell.

Nukes are a very poor device for “defensive” efforts. Russians could do a much better job of defending humanity by sharing their own experience under the USSR and how they survived. Russians could teach the world a lot by dissecting Political Ponerology for all to see.
Knowledge of the means and methods of Evil is the first and best defense against Evil. The vast majority of common people in ‘the west’ have been intentionally denied such knowledge. 40-60 year olds in Russia could teach the world a lot about how Evil maneuvers among populations.
Knowledge is vastly more important than missiles and weaponry, especially if people do not know what to point at.
Seem futile to interact with people who can’t comprehend there is no Democracy when their own ‘Party’ is happy to rig elections.
