No no no, Non combat are the majority and control the levers of power such as access, digital security, food, munitions storage. They join, spend two years in training, get to their first duty station and get pulled to 'transition' and then get light duty for 2-3 years, then discharged honorably w/complete medical benefits, having never lifted a finger to serve their country. How do I know the above? I had more than one come in from tech school. Oh, also, while all this is happening, you don't get a replacement for your manning shortage! It's a racket, they know to keep their mouths shut till they get to their first duty station and then exactly who to talk to, what to say and what paper work to file.
