Any cryptos? Could be braille but doesn't quite fit geometrically. Shall we throw some eyes on it?
It is simply a question of pulling the file into Photoshop and tuning the exposure settings, including gamma correction and offset.

Beyond my pay grade - but I'll keep an eye on the thread and interject where helpful. There is an image posted on kill_rogue that uses a similar graphical method of embedding hidden number sequences. I'm confused as to whether or not that twitter account if legit based on some previous q posts. If anyone wants me to post the graphic here let me know.

One thing - before I log off for the night, each side is a mirror image, split it down the middle and the left hand side mirrors the right hand side.

When exposure settings were modified it revealed these number strings.
My call is we are looking for something that will be clear when we find it - not something that is easily overlooked.
I agree - attached another example. I created the original image and thread at top. I'm no image analysis expert but in my view such pixelated patterns are not part of a natural process of image creation, they are 'hot pixels' based on different image thresholds.

Yes it's the same file - behaves the same and I used a control thumb from wikipedia which doesn't behave the same, so this image is by the same author as the Q image.
Revised hypothesis - if Q isn't author, any anomolies in the image are meaningless.
But I still believe in the primary hypothesis - that we have missed something to do with the graphics.

Yes I agree - having searched clock towers yesterday no question 100%. Washington and I think Franklin were on the left hand side (you say Mt. Rushmore?) next to clock tower on the original composite (stats) image.

Metadata is another area to check - equiv of exif data in file headers, I'm personally not quite sure how to extract that but I'm sure it's child's play for someone here.

Right now the only thing we know for sure is the hidden image of Independence Hall and founding fathers in the Q meme graphic.
The recent flag post was Freedom_ - which is a ref to the previous stringers (the underscore gives that away).
WOW - now that is interesting, especially because it is based on a five-bit code system, as are the points of the stars on the flag. I also saw Bacon's cipher linked.
I wonder where we would start counting from.

(1) Q has mentioned the KEY nature of the GRAPHICS numerous times, as well as suggesting we have more than we know by way of crumbs.

(3) With the American flag (which Q has posted twice), photoshop manipulation (via exposure settings or playing with the threshold values) reveals hot pixels that form a recurring dot pattern - >>213696
(4) These 'hot pixels' could either be (a) a random artefact based on how the original image was created; or (b) deliberately placed there as a code to be found by anons.
(5) The hexadecimal strings that make up the image filenames could in themselves contain the code - existing examples of strings identified include "key9", "hour", "sRGB" (an Adobe graphics format), IDAT (part of the PNG file specification), amongst others.
(6) on the visual graphic side anons have begun looking at various codes and ciphers to see if anything fits, including braille, morse code, musical notation, and baudot code.
(7) This is about crowdsourcing - the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. If the KEY is in the graphical elements (including the filenames) then we hope to find it by combining our brainpower!

I've been puzzling on the symmetry of the original graphic (flag original post). Made a bigger version of pattern. It is a mirror image self repeating pattern and yet there are kind of rogue outlayers that break up the visual symmetry (mirror image).
Why do you suppose the NYPD didn't release what was on Weiner's laptop, or Assange hasn't told us what he knows about Seth Rich and killed the Russia DNC hack myth dead in its tracks? I'm not sure I'm a big fan of riddles - I'd rather see the truth in plain sight…

Believe it or not Photoshop is capable of manipulating PNG files - why not try it for yourself rather than jumping the gun.
That's your working hypothesis - not mine. But since I know your first hypothesis - that I was a shill - was wrong, I know not to pay much attention to your thinking.
But since I'm here - and you're argument is not invalid - it is true that it might be an "artifact" - one that somehow articulated how the image was made in the first place. But I don't see why anyone would make stars this way.
And the reason I chose to stop at this point on the sliders is that (if you actually were able to repeat the experiment, which I doubt at present) the three blue lines on the right pop in and out within fractional movements, so I decided they were markers for what "artifacts" were actually meant to be seen.

I enlarged it after doing the work - for the purpose of making it easier for people to see, rather than a tiny thumbnail. A colour space shift was necessary in photoshop since you cannot change exposure settings on an indexed colour file.
