To me, being a natural born citizen would mean you were born to two US citizens, either home or abroad. Anchor babies should not be eligible.

I have not seen anything that clarifies it and if there is black and white proof I have not found it yet.

This is an issue that should be addressed.

It seems as if the founding fathers were not clear on exactly what a “Natural Born Citizen” was but it is interesting that it only applies to the President/Vice President. This does not apply to Congressmen.

Sadly, it seems this is a matter for the courts to decide- but you know how our courts currently are.

I do not believe this avenue will be persued for that reason and also it seems it won’t actually be an issue down the road.

Kamala has her role to play in this clown show and nothing can stop what is coming.

 

The Fourteenth Amendment does not address the issue of presidential eligibility or use the phrase natural-born citizen. It states, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

Under Article One, representatives and senators are required to be U.S. citizens, but there is no requirement that they be natural born, in contrast to the presidential requirement.
