The facts about gold mining:
There needs to be quartz and sea water and volcanism in the past.
the super heated steam of sea water results in the gold being deposited with in the quartz deposit.
and then erosion , many years later (eons later) results in that quartz washing out into river.
and so without the quartz and the sea water and the volcanism what would be the mechanism of percipitating gold?
there might be some other mechanism but . . . it seems to me that it's well known that gold is only found in placer deposits (in the sand from the quartz where the sea water was deposited ) or in the quartz itself.
it's not found on Earth in any other situation except in sea water as a percentage.
there might be some other way it could be deposited that hasn't been discovered. But the point it: there is no 'mother load' it never exists as a vein in the bedrock. It exists in smallish amounts with in the quartz.
