Being a leftist is the easiest thing to do. The "broad path" if you will. Of course it leads to destruction, but it's the path of least resistance, which is so alluring to the majority of people. You don't have to stand for anything, no convictions necessary, no expectations of living within a set of moral standards, nada. The fact that so many choose this path, speaks volumes in regards to the fallen human condition. I'll be honest, it's tempting at times to just give in and say "if you can't beat them, join them", but my faith is the one thing that keeps me from doing that. What little strength of character I have is 💯 because of my faith in my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, who shows me mercy I don't even begin to deserve.
