Israel to stop subsidizing haredi children's daycare amid IDF draft efforts
The attorney-general's ruling will likely lead to a financial blow to thousands of haredi families just weeks before a new school year begins.

Israel creates plan to bring in more foreign workers in place of Palestinians
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich asked Interior Minister Moshe Arbel to update regulations regarding methods of paying foreign workers in the construction industry.
The Israeli Finance Ministry is creating a plan to replace Palestinian workers with foreign workers from abroad for construction projects in the country, the ministry announced on Sunday.
The Israeli government has been working to encourage and strengthen the residential construction industry since the outbreak of the October 7 war, the ministry said. They've noted the shortage of manpower in the field of construction.
The ministry noted that a grant was recently approved to them to issue a one-time payment to Israeli construction workers up to the amount of NIS 21 thousand.

In the last few years, Imam Asad Zaman has used his Facebook page to share official Hamas press releases, blog posts from antisemitic sites and a 2015 link to a pro-Hitler film, “The Greatest Story Never Told.” Released in 2013, the propaganda film is antisemitic and popular among fringe groups, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
Walz’s administration has also donated over $100,000 to Zaman’s group, Muslim American Society of Minnesota, according to state records reviewed by the Washington Examiner. Federal prosecutors have described the Muslim American Society as “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S.,” according to court records, the outlet first reported.
Designated a terrorist group by the United Arab Emirates in 2014, the Muslim group faced criticism in 2019 when a video emerged of children at a Philadelphia chapter event calling for Jews to be killed.
In reaction to Rep. Katie Porter, D-Calif., condemning the Oct. 7 attack a day later, Zaman asked if she would “reaffirm the right of Palestinians to defend themselves.” Zaman’s Muslim group in a statement on Oct. 7 declared it “reaffirms its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.”
In May 2023, Zaman attended a mosque security meeting with Walz’s gubernatorial office.
According to the Examiner, Zaman participated in a Ramadan event organized by Walz in May 2019. In addition, the Washington Free Beacon reported that Walz attended an event in 2019 featuring a scholar with antisemitic views and support for terrorism against Israel.
Zaman, originally from Bangladesh, expressed solidarity with Palestinians for the Hamas-initiated Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on Israelis. He also shared a Palestinian flag image on Facebook in support of a post criticizing the Biden-Harris administration for its stance on Israel.
The imam reportedly participated in a May 2020 event with Walz to advocate for peaceful protests during the Black Lives Matter riots in Minnesota following George Floyd’s death. Previously, in April 2019, Zaman delivered an invocation at Walz’s state address and had called for an end to a government shutdown alongside Walz in January 2019, the Washington Examiner first reported.

Dark Web Data Theft Leads To Arrest Of 40 Suspects In Massive Bank Fraud Operation
Authorities have apprehended 40 suspects involved in a large-scale bank fraud operation that relied on personal information stolen from the dark web. The scheme, which targeted unsuspecting victims in the Houston area and beyond, resulted in the theft of between $360,000 and $600,000.
The investigation, dubbed “Operation Cash Back,” revealed that the group behind the fraud was well-organized, with leaders including 23-year-old Gregory Edwards III, 25-year-old Doc Frank, 20-year-old Jayson Gipson, and 21-year-old Lajewel McGilbray. These individuals have been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and money laundering.
Mont Belvieu Police Chief Jimmy Ellison explained that the criminals accessed victims’ bank accounts using stolen data to make unauthorized wire transfers. The group then enlisted friends, family members, and even acquaintances from social media to launder the stolen money through legitimate accounts.
“Once they get the information, they start making wire transfers out of the victim’s bank accounts,” Ellison said. “But, in order for them to be successful, they have to transfer that money into a clean account, and that’s where they began recruiting other people.”
The criminal network extended beyond Texas, with some associates located as far away as Georgia and Illinois. Mont Belvieu police are continuing their investigation to identify additional participants in the scheme.
An online security expert emphasized the importance of protecting personal information by avoiding the reuse of passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and using biometric security options when available. Authorities urge the public to stay vigilant as they work to dismantle the operation and bring all involved to justice.

Of the three conspirators against stability in the Indo and Asia Pacific, one stands out as the shouldering platform, the sustaining force, the political and military stuffing. But Australian propagandists and proselytisers of the US credo of power prefer to see it differently, repeatedly telling the good citizens down under that they are onto something truly special in being a military extension, the gargantuan annexe of another’s interests. Give them nuclear powered submarines, let them feel special, and a false sense of security will follow.
The August 2024 AUSMIN talks in Annapolis, Maryland, held between US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and their Australian counterparts, Richard Marles (Minister of Defence) and Penny Wong (Foreign Minister) provided yet another occasion for this grim pantomime. No one could be in doubt who the servitors were.
The factsheet from the US Department of Defense on the meeting is worth noting for Washington’s military capture – no other word describes it – and Australia’s sycophantic accommodation. As part of the “Enhanced Force Posture Cooperation,” the US and Australia are to advance “key priorities across an ambitious range of force posture cooperation efforts”. This is merely a clumsy way of describing the deeper incorporation of Australia’s own military requirements into the US military complex “across land, maritime, air, and space domains, as well as the Combined Logistics, Sustainment, and Maintenance Enterprise”. US military forces, in short, are to occupy every domain of Australia’s defence.
The greedy and speedy US garrisoning of Australia is evident through ongoing “infrastructure investments at key Australian bases in the norther, including RAAF Bases Darwin and Tindal” and “site surveys for potential upgrades at RAAF Bases Curtin, Learmonth, and Scherger.” Rotational deployments of US forces to Australia, “including frequent rotations of bombers, fighter aircraft, and Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft” are to increase in number. As any student of US-Australian relations knows, rotation is the disingenuous term used to mask the presence of a permanently stationed force – occupation by another name.
The public relations office has obviously been busy spiking the language with a sense of false equality: the finalising, for instance, by December 2024 of a Memorandum of Understanding on Co-Assembly for Guided Multiple Rocket Systems (GLMRS) – a “co-production”; finalising, by the same date, an MOU “on cooperative Production, Sustainment, and Follow-on Development of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM)”; and institutionalising of “US cooperation with Australia’s Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Enterprise”. Everywhere we look, a sense of artificial cooperation under the cover of Washington’s heavy-handed dominance, be it cooperative activities for Integrated Air and Missile Defence, or the hypersonic weapons program, can be found.

Then, those images and GPS data would be shared with local law enforcement to decide whether to initiate a chase.
