Will there be news headlines this fall that the government conducted electronic and communications surveillance of the Trump Campaign for the purposes of “protecting” the organization’s systems from Iranian cyber threats?
Because those who committed past surveillance abuses were not punished there is diminished public trust of these sorts of activities, even if a justified measure against a foreign threat.

When Trump wants to get ahead of something (PREVENT), he often just calls it out. The Left / MSM calls him retarded, Hitler and a conspiracy theorist while DJT just takes all the flak and keeps on pushing.
End result is the EVENT is often PREVENTED / CANCELLED / CALLED OFF, the Left / MSM continue calling him a lunatic and Trump and a few others are the only ones who know how important them preventing the EVENT, ever truly was.
Basically, "taking flak" is an overt tactic where the public gets a glimpse behind the curtain but the genuine events are so diluted in the mix of noise and other happenings, it is difficult to tell which call outs are legit. When you connect multiple trusted sources echoing / amplifying a call out, you can sometimes narrow down an event with high likelihood of being credible. We usually find out 3-4 years later with a "Trump was right…" story/article.
Agreed. The kicker is… I think the D's are trying to frame the "crime" within legit Natl. Sec. rules/laws. So no bullshit dossier… This time it is "legit" cyber crime perpetuated by a state we are about to go to war with. Rules/laws/SOPs would compel 3 Letters to monitor all related attack vectors and targets (so Trump gets caught up in the net).
We're getting happenings at 10x the rate of 2017-20. Imagine getting news similar to what we saw over the last 30-45 days… but in say, 2012. We'd all be curled up in bathtubs, sobbing with our dogs and an AR.
