Ex-DOJ official joins law firm Cahill for new congressional investigations team
Edward O'Callaghan, a former high-ranking U.S. Justice Department official who helped oversee the federal investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, is joining Cahill Gordon & Reindel to lead a new congressional investigations practice there, the U.S. law firm said Tuesday.
In addition to serving as the Justice Department's principal associate deputy attorney general under Rosenstein, O'Callaghan is a former acting deputy attorney general of the department and led its national security division.
He was also a federal prosecutor in Manhattan and a partner at Clifford Chance and Nixon Peabody.
