Royce White wins Republican nomination for U.S. Senate to face off against Sen. Amy KlobucharMN (Anons he is backed by MAGA, he must win)

Updated on: August 13, 2024 / 10:29 PM CDT / CBS Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS — Republican Royce White has defeated Joe Fraserin the Minnesota primary election and willface incumbent Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar on the November ballot.

White, a 33-year-old Minneapolis native who briefly played in the NBA, beat Fraser in what political experts saw as a struggle for the soul of the Minnesota Republican Party.

Fraser, 50, was originally believed to be the frontrunner, but was stunned when White comfortably won the party's nomination at May's GOP convention. While he initially ceded, Fraser backtracked and renewed his fight against White.

White aims to be GOP's future

White says he can steer younger voters and voters of color to the GOP. On his campaign website, he says he will be a leader who won't "sell out."

"We face an enemy that intends to bastardize our citizenship through an idea called globalism. We must begin to understand how the global affects the local and take a stand for God, Family, and Country," White said. "I have fought against the corporate community responsible for this globalist agenda. Send me to Washington so I can continue that fight on the Senate floor in the swamp."

His opponent told WCCO's Esme Murphy in July that White is far from a good fit for the party."It just became evident that (White) is not somebody that I view embodies the spirit of the Republican Party," Fraser said. (RINO) Democratic strategist Abou Amara told Murphy in June that White "presents deeper problems for the Republican ticket," and holds political views that most Minnesotans "would reject."

"At the grassroots level, you've got Royce White, who's endorsed by Steve Bannon and other kind of far extreme right-wing folks, but he won the endorsement," Amara said. "I think Joe Fraser represents kind of the Tim Pawlenty lane, if you will, of the Minnesota Republican Party. And so they're on a collision course."

Several establishment Republicans took the unprecedented step of publicly backing Fraser after his convention loss, including former Sens. Rudy Boschwitz and Norm Coleman and former Gov. Pawlenty. White told Murphy in June that the era they represent is over. "To be honest, all three of them lost their last statewide elections and they are connected to over 30 years of statewide losses in the Republican Party," White said.

Who is Royce White?

White was crowned Minnesota's Mr. Basketball in 2009 after leading the Hopkins boy's basketball team in its legendary undefeated season. White joined the Gophers but left the University of Minnesota just months into his first semester after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct and theft in connection to an incident at Mall of America. Soon after, he was accused of stealing a laptop from a U dorm, but no charges were filed. White then went to Iowa State and helped lead his team to the NCAA tournament in 2012. He briefly played for the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings, but struggles with an anxiety disorder and a fear of flying led to a quick exit from the NBA. Despite his hardships, he was applauded for launching a league-wide discussion on mental health. He played two stellar seasons in the NBL Canada before a short-lived foray into MMA fighting. He currently plays in the Big3 3-on-3 basketball league.

White's political ambitions come with controversy. Klobuchar is in her third term and won her last two elections with sizeable leads over her GOP challengers. Her war chest contains nearly $17 million, in stark contrast to the $85,000 in White's campaign account.

They are smearing him already, so there's something to him, here's a video from Royce sitting in for Steve Bannon today. Let's see how this works out. She has $17 million he's got a $85,000 and is winning on the Rep side, pretty impressive (she probably figured, no one would vote for him).

I’m positive these two are related

Sky King / Richard Russell

"Sky King" is a nickname given to29-year-old ground service operator Richard Russellafter he stole a Horizon Air Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 airliner from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) and died after crashing on Ketron Island in Puget Sound. The incident spawned numerous image macros, photoshops and fan arts on 4chan and other online communities.

On August 10th, 2018, Russell stole the airliner from a maintenance position at the Sea-Tac airport. After attempting the aircraft took off, two F-15 fighter jets were deployed.

That day, Boston Globe journalist Matt Karolian tweeted a link to the Sea-Tac air traffic control broadcast, followed by an announcement that Russell revealed he would attempt a barrel roll maneuver (shown below).

After performing the stunt, along with other maneuvers, the plane crashed on Ketron Island in the Puget Sound. Russell, the sole occupant of the aircraft, perished in the crash.

On August 11th, 2018, a post about the plane crash was submitted to 4chan's /pol/ board,[1] where an anonymous user replied "Sky King?" (shown below).

On August 11th, 2018, journalist Jimmy Tomson tweeted out a series of audio clips in which Russell can be heard talking to an air traffic controller (shown below).[3]

Nautilus Aviation say pilot of helicopter that flew into Cairns hotel was member of its ground crew

ABC Far North / By Kristy Sexton-McGrath, Christopher Testa, and Sarah Richards Aug. 12, 2024 (Weird the day of Sky King?) (Australia time was 21 hours was earlier than US time) It was 8/11/24 according to my world clock

The pilot killed when a helicopter crashed into a Cairns hotel roof has beenidentified as 23-year-old Blake Wilson of New Zealand, who had been working as a ground crew employeewith the company for four months.

Nautilus Aviation CEO Aaron Finn confirmed late Tuesday afternoon that a member of the company's ground staff "gained unauthorised access to [the] helicopter hangar and misappropriated one of [the] helicopters".

He said the employee held a New Zealand pilot's licence but had never flown in Australia. Mr Finn said there was a gathering of company employees on Sunday night, including off-duty-pilots, celebrating a promotion of the man who flew the helicopter.(He was drunk?)

"This was a privately organised send-off for the individual involved in Monday morning's incident, who was recently promoted to a ground crew position at another one of our bases," Mr Finn said. "This was not a work event and had been coordinated by friends."

Mr Finn said the company had undergone interviews with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) and Queensland Police Service. Recording devices from the helicopter have been sent for analysis as the investigation shifts to the pilot.

ATSB chief Angus Mitchell confirmed earlier on Tuesday, the helicopter's evidence, including technical instruments, had been sent to Canberra to be examined. "We'll start analysing that to get a better idea of the flight plan, and indeed, oncewe get that confirmation of who was the occupant at the time and who was the pilot at the time," Mr Mitchell said. "Yesterday was very much focused on accessing the site itself." (Was there another person in there with the pilot)

Nearly 400 people were evacuated from the Double Tree Hilton after the helicopter hit the hotel shortly before 2am on Monday. Investigators believe the helicopter was taken from the Cairns Airport before flying into the no-fly zone over the CBD. The probe will also involve the Department of Home Affairs, which oversees airport security. "There are other aspects of this particular investigation that probably fall a little bit outside transport safety," Mr Mitchell said."This is going to be an interesting one, a little bit different to what we would normally investigate."

Witnesses reported seeing the helicopter flying at high speed and low to the ground along the foreshore before crashing into the building.(who was staying in the building?) Cairns Airport chief executive Richard Barker said airport security had not been compromised. "Cairns Airportoperates under an approved multi-layered transport security program," Mr Barker said. "We have conducted a review this morning and initial findings show there has been no compromise of the airport security program or processes."

Doug Drury, head of aviation at CQUniversity, said aviation companies typically used keypads with codes for security. "I've used them in airports all over the world but it's a common code and if you've ever worked at this location, then you would know where to go and how to get in," he said.
