Rite Aid has now shut all the stores it once had in Michigan and Ohio - meaning tens of thousands of customers need to find new pharmacies.
The drugstore's latest filings at bankruptcy court show it has now completely cut all ties with the two Midwestern states.
Rite Aid had more than 2,000 stores before it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2023 as it battled mounting debts.
Soon after, bosses announced the initial closures of 154. Since then, a steady stream of filings have taken closures to 856, DailyMail.com analysis shows.
The latest closures - 74 so far in August- were all in the two Midwest states apart from one each in California and Washington. That is on top of 169 in July, all in Ohio and Michigan.
Under a year ago the two states had the fourth and fifth highest number of Rite Aids in the US. Now all 234 in Michigan and 183 in Ohio have been shuttered, or will be soon.

Melania Trump earned six figures for speaking to a Republican fundraiser earlier this year, part of the million dollars in income she earns.
Her compensation and investments were listed as part of Donald Trump's latest financial disclosure report, which all presidential candidates are required to file.
The former first lady earns a substantial income from speaking fees, properties in New York and Slovenia that she rents and her non-fungible token (NFT) licensing agreement.
Among the revenue listed is over $237,000 for one speaking engagement - paid for by the Log Cabin Republicans - in April 2024.
That month Melania Trump hosted a $10,000-a-ticket fundraiser for the conservative LGBTQ group at Mar-a-Lago. The event raised about $5 million, which was split between Donald Trump's re-election campaign and the Republican Party.
Melania Trump also hosted a fundraiser for Log Cabin Republicans in July at the Trumps' apartment in Trump Tower. There is no payment listed for that event.
The documents also list Melanie Trump as earning $330,607 for a licensing agreement from Designers Manager for the sale of NFTs.
She launched an NFT site after leaving the White House. The collections, which sell for $150 a pop, include digital renderings of her likeness. The former first lady has established a new company, called MKT World LLC, to accommodate her speaking engagements and the sale of her NFTs. She also has a significant property portfolio, the disclosures reveal.
Her residential real estate ownings in New York are valued between $500,001 and $1,000,000. She also receives between $15,001 and $50,000 in rent from residential real estate owned in Ljubljana, Slovenia. And the former first lady has up to $250,000 in a savings account, the documents note.
Melania Trump has not been seen in public since her appearance at the Republican National Convention last month. She did not address the delegates, although the spouse of the presidential traditionally makes remarks.
Instead she sat in the audience to listen to her husband, Donald Trump, accept the Republican presidential nomination.
This fall she will release her memoir entitled 'Melania.' The memoir will include 'personal stories and family photos she has never before shared with the public,' her office said. She is selling two editions: a $150 collector's edition featuring 256 pages in full color throughout, with each copy signed by the author. The memoir edition will be 304 pages and available for $40 with signed copies available for $75. 'Melania' will be released by Skyhorse Publishing, which has published such Trump supporters as former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and attorney Alan Dershowitz.
The former first lady has been the subject of many biographies and books but this is the first time she is telling her story. It is unclear if she worked with a co-author and if she will go on a book tour.
