so my son gave me his old pc parts, everything from a power supply to tomahawk b350 to ryzen processor to ram and hdd…
i had an old case (really old), one that does not do justice for the parts & just barely works, one that is going to require additional cooling (which i have)…
my question to you, frens and anons, what flavor of linux should i run?
i prefer a challenge!
what can i say but ipadfagging just isn't the same as a decent desktop!
so what distro?

i ran red hat & fedora core for years before migrating to arch
i ran kali for years as well was blackarch, in fact blackarch was the reason for switching to kali
mint is debian / ubuntu and ok, but no challenge
arch is great, my last several boxen were arch
anyone have any experience with alpine? i literally have to poke a hole in the firewall, but then i had to do that with arch…
and yes trips confirm linux!
that being said, i will run kali live to see what the hardware nuances are
