Conclusion, we have JA and he's being kept hidden in Saudi Arabia. Pamela is there now visiting him and her picture was an "arrived safely" message.

SA being used as a safehouse of sorts makes perfect sense, since it's been cleaned out and can't be accessed easily by clowns.
