"Sometimes, you just have to ignore the "Danger: Bridge Washed Out Ahead" signs."

Ignoring warnings might irritate safety nerds, but it makes sense to everyone in this car, and will continue to do so right up to the point where we plunge into the river and drown.

Acktchewally, that's the end around, Northern Edition, for the US West Coast slowdown imposed by the 3 D Govs of CA, OR, & WA and all their wonky new port "Rulez". Redirected to Vancouver, et al, instead of Portland, Seattle, SF, or Long Beach.

It's the "truck" rulez, not the actual port vslongshoremen's union games, but they are definitely playin' ketchup, of late. Details BBerg will NOT ask about, but if a bright bulb were to subscribe to enough competing trade mags, one might see a slightly different picture.

US Supreme Court partly revives Arizona's proof of citizenship voter law

Aug 22nd, 13:14:31

By John Kruzel

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday revived part of an Arizona voter law requiring documented proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote, in response to a request from the Republican National Committee and Arizona Republicans.

The justices agreed to reinstate a provision of the law after a federal judge blocked it in response to legal challenges by Democratic President Joe Biden's administration and advocacy groups.

The breakers were busy, busy beavers as the demand for SuperMax outstripped the older, and smaller fleets. Costs and demand shift rendered idle a lot of tonnage and sent it to the breakers during "MuhSupplyChain" forced idling. The lack of return trade to Chyna kept a shitton of TEUs, in their various forms, stacked empty at the ports. Running SuperMaxes back to Chyna, essentially deadheading the empty boxes, only became "popular" again after the container rates stabilized for the return trip. This took damping the Eastbound route rates as demand tapered. Ship demand got distorted through all that, and the commercial fleet need re-filling out.

It's a cycle, not linear. Been interdasting to watch. That being said, heads up on gCaptain as a dedicated source. He has TDS, despite a deep knowledge set. His sub-linkages are usually even better than he is, such as FreightWaves.
