Sir Jimmy's grave encased in concrete over fears thieves might raid coffin for 'bling'

Jimmy Savile's final resting place has been encased in concrete to stop thieves stealing the broadcasting legend's 'bling', it has been revealed.

Sir Jimmy was laid to rest four days ago, buried at a 45-degree angle overlooking the sea in the Woodlands Cemetery in his beloved Scarborough.

The DJ, who was a Freeman of the Borough of Scarborough, was buried with his Royal Marines green beret and medal, rosary beads and Help For Heroes wristband.

However, rumours Sir Jimmy was buried wearing his trademark jewellery have led to concerns his gold casket could be raided.

It is feared with the price of gold reaching record prices some will go to any lengths to get their hands on the metal.

So shortly after the burial service ended in Friday the grave was sealed in cement and then covered in earth.

The color drained from the face of Tennessee killer Sean Finnegan as he was sentenced to death for his sickening murder and torture of a homeless woman.

Finnegan had been found guilty of the 2019 murder of Jennifer Paxton when he stood to learn his punishment in the courtroom yesterday.

As the judge announced his sentence - death by lethal injection - Finnegan said nothing.

His wide eyes fixated on the judge, he began jostling in his seat before fussing with his long, greasy hair.

Paxton's body was kept in a freezer in Finnegan's bedroom for approximately eight months after he killed her. He viewed her corpse for sexual pleasure.

Finnegan moved the body to a hiding place under his bed before police arrived to search for it in early August 2020.

Paxton was the ideal victim for Finnegan, prosecutor Kevin Allen told jurors Friday.

She was a homeless drug addict who sold her body to make money.

Investigators believe Paxton was strangled to death in December 2019. Finnegan's partner, 26-year-old Rebecca Dishman, told officers that Finnegan killed Paxton, strangling her with a string over an extended period of time, taking breaks, and pausing to smoke.

Dishman has already pleaded guilty to murder.

The judge announced the sentence, stating that Finnegan would be transferred to the state penitentiary in Nashville for execution by lethal injection.
