🇮🇹ANCIENT ROMAN RELIC FROM 2,300-YEAR-OLD NAVAL BATTLE RECOVERED OFF SICILY
The relic, used on warships during the Battle of the Aegates Islands in 241 B.C., was found at a depth of 80 meters near the Aegates Islands.
This battle marked a decisive victory for Rome over Carthage during the First Punic War.
The ram, now being studied by archaeologists, is the 27th such artifact discovered from this historic naval clash.
