When I was born Amistad Reservoir didn't exist.
When I was a young kid growing up in S, Texas I remember fishing there all the time as the reservoir was filling. Each time we went back there the water level was higher. There is a train trestle that crosses the reservoir and we used to anchor up in the shade of it to fish. When we would leave we'd mark the lake level with a china marker on the trestle piling. I wonder if the marks are still there?
