For you sheltered people who lack a clue, a lot of business is forged on creating and cultivating relationships.

For Trump to be successful in business, he has had to forge strong relationships, some of which have been with people, who given other circumstances, one would never want to associate with. If the relationship remains productive, and useful in promoting successful business deals, a lot of the unimportant stuff gets shoved off to the side.

Some ivory-tower, puritanical, people will dismiss many potentially useful relationships based on one perceived flaw or short-coming. They will criticize others who maintain relationships with others they see as lacking in some respect.

That, however, is not how successful businesses are built and maintained. Trump is successful because he is open to form business relationships with people who, perhaps, only agree with him on one important mutual goal.

You focus on the positive, get what you can to promote your goals, and move on. You avoid burning bridges, as you never know when a new deal or a new goal might require rekindling a prior business relationship.

One may not like the people you sometimes have to do business with, but sometimes the goal is so important, you just do, for the greater good.
