I don't want to start a long thread, so I'm sticking this in at the end of this bread. It's a reply to error about "This is my body." The uses of "is" are these:

identity: Sin is lawlessness.

attribution: God is love.

causation: For to be carnally minded is death.

resemblance: The tongue is a fire.

fulfillment: This is that.

symbolism: This is my body.
