Gold Star mom Paula Knauss Selph lambasted the Biden administration for continuing to evade accountability as she and other Gold Star families Monday marked three years since the terrorist attack at Afghanistan’s Kabul airport that claimed the lives of 13 US service members.

“On this day in particular, we are all grieving over something that should have never, ever happened the way it did,” Selph, whose son, Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Knauss, died in the botched withdrawal, said on “America Reports.”

“It’s the lack of accountability that has really upset the nation on this. It is the lack of empathy and sympathy for a situation … at least say I’m sorry,” she added. “At least apologize for a lack of leadership.”

The grieving mother said President Biden’s chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal cost the United States its credibility on the world stage, echoing former President Donald Trump, who told a crowd earlier Monday that foreign leaders and bad actors no longer “respect us.”

“He’s right. We lost a lot of credibility in our nation and in our world powers,” she told Fox News co-anchor Sandra Smith. “We have lost it. And the only way we will gain it back is if we become a world power again.”

Moments earlier Monday, Trump laid wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery to honor the fallen soldiers killed in the suicide bombing at Afghanistan’s Hamid Karzai International Airport. A clip on “America Reports” showed the former president placing flowers at the grave of Selph’s son.

“He [Trump] called me right after that, and he expressed his sorrow at the fact that he would have to do that,” Selph revealed. “He reminded me that there are good leaders in our nation who will step up when the time comes [and] we will all be grateful when the change of hand happens.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) announced Monday he will present the Congressional Gold Medal to the families who lost loved ones in the Kabul airport attack.

Selph said the decision “brings honor” to the 13 grieving families.

“It brings honor to our nation,” she told Smith, adding, “we will not forget.”

CABAL/DEEP STATE MEDIA CODDLING KNEE PADS

CNN analyst Alex Thompson suggested Tuesday that Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign’s pause for sit-down interviews could be due to her “worst moments” being captured on camera.

Questions about whether Harris will participate in any in-depth interviews have arisen as her only unscripted schedule event is her upcoming debate against former President Donald Trump on Sept. 10. Appearing on “CNN News Central,” Thompson stated while he believes Harris should face questions during an interview, her campaign might view avoiding the press as “politically smart.”

“These are the internal debates and conversations going on — is it going to be live? How long is it? Is it on TV [or] is it print? Is it with someone that is a little bit softer, a little bit friendlier, and ideologically aligned person?” Thompson asked. “And if she does something that‘s more partisan or more liberal leaning, does the press give her credit for doing that interview?”

“Now, Jamal is right and that there‘s two different things going on. There‘s basically should she answer questions and I think as a reporter I would be biased and say yes she should. But is it the politically smart thing to do? That‘s the debate also going on within Democratic Party circles,” Thompson continued.

Thompson continued stating Harris’ “worst moments” on camera resulted from getting flustered and answering in a roundabout way. The political analyst added Democrats might be considering allowing Harris to “just do a few interviews” before voters head to the polls.

'He's still the one who showed up today at Arlington National Cemetery.'

Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, a U.S. Marine who was severely wounded in the suicide bombing during the Afghanistan withdrawal, was one of the veterans who was with former President Donald Trump at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday to mark the third anniversary of the attack.

The ISIS-K bomber killed 13 U.S. service members, wounded dozens of others, and killed over 100 Afghans. Service members who were at Abbey Gate, including Vargas-Andrews, say the attack was preventable but that the rules of engagement were not clear and their superiors did not give the order to engage the bomber.

Vargas-Andrews posted on Instagram why it was important that Trump showed up at an event to honor the fallen 13. Vargas-Andrews sustained heavy injuries that included losing his right arm and left leg.

"Regardless of how you feel about [Trump] , it doesn't matter. He's still the one who showed up today at Arlington National Cemetery and took the time to partake in a ceremonious memorial commemorating the 13 Americans murdered that day in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is still the only one that showed up to take the time and talk with those families and friends there, myself included," he said.

ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos confirmed he attended a dinner with financier Jeffrey Epstein in 2010 after the hedge fund manager was released from prison.

Epstein served 13 months in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of prostitution in 2008. He had been accused of molesting dozens of girls but a plea deal got most of the charges dismissed.

Stephanopoulos and other high-profile figures attended a party at Epstein’s mansion in New York City. The guest of honor was Prince Andrew.

Stephanopoulos admitted he was at the dinner and said attending it was a mistake.
