Semantics. It's meant to confuse. There's only one true God, Jesus Christ is his Son, and therefore an extension of His Father. The Spirit is God's extension to all His creation.
In the beginning there is Only God. Jesus is not around and neither is the Spirit.
Those words you read in a book were not written by God.
Those words are a control mechanism.
