On August 30th, the FDA approved the ACAM2000 vaccine for monkeypox for individuals classified as high-risk for the infection. This move has raised significant alarm due to the potential risks that the vaccine poses.
The vaccine was created by Emergent Biosolutions and was previously approved for smallpox in 2007.
Following the recently approved expanded use of the drug, the FDA issued a statement mandating that all recipients of the ACAM2000 vaccine be provided with a copy of the FDA’s medication guide. They justified this requirement by claiming, “A medication guide is essential for the safe and effective use of the vaccine, as it can help prevent serious adverse events.”
The medication guide reveals troubling potential side effects, including myopericarditis (inflammation of the heart tissue), fetal death, and even death.
What’s even more disturbing is the revelation that ACAM2000 contains live vaccinia virus, meaning it can be transmitted to individuals who have not taken the vaccine but come into contact with someone who has. “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala,” Musk wrote on X, adding a thinking emoji at the end.
“Well,” he later added in a reply to his own comment before ultimately deleting the post, “one lesson I’ve learned is that just because I say something to a group and they laugh doesn’t mean it’s going to be all that hilarious as a post on X.”
The post, while obviously not a threat, is still attracting the attention of the government.

A billionaire biotech investor was found dead in a lake in Washington.
The Miner Newspaper reported divers discovered billionaire Daniel Reiner’s body in Trout Lake, which is located on Reiner’s private property in Washington.
Authorities received a call from Reiner’s family that he went missing on August 30th, and a search was launched to find the biotech investor.
As authorities searched Reiner’s property, Cadaver dogs traced Reiner’s whereabouts to the lake on his property.
Divers were late called onto the scene and found Reiner’s lifeless body 200ft deep in the lake.

China says it sent warplanes to monitor and mirror a US military reconnaissance plane as it flew over the contested Taiwan Strait on Tuesday, according to statements of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).
The PLA's Eastern Theater Command identified the aircraft as a US Navy P-8A Poseidon patrol plane. A statement said the PLA "organized warplanes to tail and monitor the U.S. aircraft’s flight and handled it in accordance with the law."
"Theater command troops will remain on constant high alert and resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and security as well as regional peace and stability," the statement added.
The US Navy's 7th Fleet later confirmed, "The aircraft’s transit of the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the United States’ commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific." It asserted in response to Beijing's condemnation: "The United States military flies, sails and operates anywhere international law allows."
"The Poseidon on Tuesday encountered foreign military forces, but the flight was not affected," the US Navy indicated. "All interactions with foreign military forces during the transit were consistent with international norms and did not impact the operation," the statement noted.

According to a report by The Logic, Brookfield is asking for $10 billion from taxpayers days after the former Bank of Canada governor was appointed a Liberal party finance advisor. Members of the Conservative Party of Canada are accusing the government of corruption over the suspected deal.
The report, which cites confidential sources, says that the Toronto-based investment firm Brookfield is in discussions to help the firm invest domestically. They added that the resolution demands Israel’s unilateral withdrawal from the West Bank and East Jerusalem while making no corresponding demand for the Palestinian Authority to cease incitement in its media and schools advocating for the destruction of Israel.
The release pointed out that the resolution overlooks the pre-1967 historical context, specifically the war launched against Israel to eliminate the world’s only Jewish state. It further criticized the lack of a parallel demand for the Palestinian Authority to halt its incitement, including media and educational materials that call for Israel’s destruction.
The Simon Wiesenthal Centre’s release also highlighted the misrepresentation in the resolution, which labels East Jerusalem as “Palestinian Territory,” despite it being under Jordanian, not Palestinian, control from 1948 to 1967, a control that was itself gained through force.

Politico headlined a piece earlier this week about how “European governments criticize IMF trip to Russia as ‘propaganda win’ for Putin”, which follows the resumption of those two’s relations that was recently analyzed here. This is driven by Russia’s belief in gradually reforming the global economic-financial system instead of radically reshaping it in order to not inadvertently destabilize its Chinese, Indian, and other Global South partners who have direct complex interdependencies with the West.
From Moscow’s perspective, the IMF accordingly has an integral role to play in this process, ergo the need to resume their relations with a view towards that end, which the IMF is also interested in advancing since it accepts that reforms are inevitable lest it become irrelevant in the new world order.
This logic is sound, but it’s little-known outside of policy wonk circles, with the more popular but factually false narrative of Russia wanting to “crash the Western economy” predominating instead.
Despite supposedly being each other’s rivals, the Alt-Media Community (AMC) and the Mainstream Media (MSM) both push this claim since it meets each of their interests, albeit from opposite perspectives. The AMC sees this as something good and worth celebrating, while the MSM considers it something bad and worth condemning. Germany is sliding toward a recession, with the latest indicator flashing bright red. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), new August data show that the demand for electric vehicles crashed.
ACEA reported a 69% plunge in EV deliveries in Germany last month, with just over 27,000. Across the region, there was a 36% drop. Sliding demand comes after Germany slashed incentives, making EVs less affordable for the working class.

When the Soviet Union collapsed, Russia was devastated. Boris Yeltsin, Russia’s first president, did not succeed in lifting the country out of its misery. There were solid reasons for this, both inside and outside Russia.
In an article by Professor Jeffrey Sachs and Matt Tahibi entitled “Economist Jeffrey Sachs Reveals How Neocons Subverted Russia’s Financial Stabilization In Early 1990s”, the explosiveness and importance of which cannot be overestimated, both transparently reveal the US strategy towards the Soviet Union and Russia from 1990 onwards.
The West – under the leadership of the US – pursued an unequivocal strategy of destruction. Sachs provides first-hand evidence that Poland, which later became an EU and NATO member, was helped back on its feet from 1989 with billions in aid from the G7, the IMF and other Western institutions – and very successfully so.
The approach to Russia was completely different. Russia was never supposed to become a partner of the West and Professor Sachs shows how, as an advisor to Gorbachev and then Yeltsin, he failed to organize support from the West. The US’s goal was not the recovery of Russia, but the disintegration of the country into small, digestible portions, which would then be taken over by puppets from the US. This plan is still being pursued today with enormous effort and is currently culminating in the war in Ukraine. Toronto District School Board (TDSB) teachers reportedly misled students and parents about the objective of a field trip Wednesday as kids in grades seven and eight reportedly marched to anti-Israel and pro-Palestine slogans being shouted by their instructors, Rebel News reported.
Video reportedly taken of the trip shows children being led as adults chants of "From Turtle Island to Palestine, occupation is a crime" The adults appear to be wearing keffiyehs and face coverings in the footage.
The field trip was reportedly supposed to be about how indigenous people belonging to the Grassy Narrows First Nation suffered from mercury contamination. Parents were reportedly told that children would not actually be participating in the Queen's Park demonstration about "indigenous health," but rather be there to "observe." Independent MP Kevin Vuong spoke out against the field trip, saying it was a violation of trust and that any teachers who lied about what the event was about should be held to account.

The Liberal’s Deputy House Leader, Mark Gerretsen, has issued an apology to The Counter Signal’s Katrina Panova, known online as Kat Kanada, after he falsely stated she was funded by Russia.
As part of a settlement agreement between Kat and himself, Gerretsen posted a 3-part apology, which included a $1,000 donation to a charity of Kat’s choosing.
“I would like to sincerely apologize to @KatKanada_TM for my previous post in which I alleged that she is funded by the Russian government,” Gerretsen said.
He added: “I will be personally donating $1,000 to the Loaves & Fishes Community Food Bank in Nanaimo, BC, a charity chosen by Kat. If others who shared my original tweet would like to do the same, they can do so here: https://nanaimoloavesandfishes.org/donate/”
Following Gerretsen’s initial defamatory accusations against Panova, which included a call to haul her before Parliament to address her (falsely) alleged Russia-based funding, countless social media users and at least one media outlet echoed his false claims.
Kat responded to Gerretsen’s apology on Thursday, telling him that she fled the USSR to live in a country where those in power could not wield their office as a weapon against journalists.
“I think Mark honestly doesn’t understand why that is important, but don’t worry, we explained it to him,” she said.
Earlier this year, in Parliament, Gerretsen proposed banning calling Justin Trudeau corrupt to “improve decorum” in the House of Commons.
To this, Conservative MP Corey Tocher stated the obvious—that Trudeau and the Liberals have been caught time and time again engaging in corrupt activities.
