The company "plans to significantly slow its production of electric vehicles", the report says, stating it'll cut global output for 2026 to just 1 million cars, about 30% less than previously expected.
Toyota has decided to reduce EV production due to a global market slowdown, informing its suppliers of the change. The company now plans to produce over 400,000 EVs by 2025 and aims to more than double output in 2026.
Toyota, which has prioritized hybrid vehicles, sold around 100,000 EVs in 2023 and 80,000 between January and July this year, the report says. Continue…

The German Environment Agency on Friday said it had rejected carbon credit certificates from eight projects over concerns about fraudulent emission-reduction reporting and certification in China.
The so-called Upstream Emission Reduction (UER) projects are being used by oil companies to meet the European Union’s regulations and targets of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Companies earn green credits by funding emission-reduction initiatives in oil production, such as a halt to gas flaring.
The German Environment Agency, UBA, has been investigating projects for carbon credits in China due to alleged irregularities in a scandal that emerged a few months ago.
The agency has found that eight such projects for carbon credits for a total of 215,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) did not meet standards. Continue…

studies describing the finding and purification of particles alleged to be "Peste des Petits Ruminants Virus" from bodily fluid/tissue/excrement of "hosts", and/or
studies wherein the purported "genome" of said alleged virus was found intact - as opposed to fabricated in silico aka modeled on a computer, and/or
studies that scientifically demonstrated contagion of illness / symptoms allegedly caused by said purported virus.

Justice David Labrenz sentenced Anthony Olienick and Chris Carbert to prison on Monday for their roles in the Coutts border blockade in Feb. 2022.
The two remaining Coutts Four members spent over 900 days in remand awaiting trial.
Two of the four initial members, Chris Lysak and Jerry Morin, accepted a plea deal on lesser charges in Feb. The conspiracy to commit murder charges were dropped, and the two men were released.
Lysak was sentenced to three years for possession of a restricted firearm in an unauthorized place, and Morin was sentenced to three and a half years for conspiracy to traffic firearms. Both sentences amounted to time served awaiting trial for the two men.
Olienick and Carbert both had the conspiracy to commit murder charges dropped about a week before this ruling, but Crown prosecutors are appealing.
Monday’s ruling resulted in Chris Carbert being sentenced to six and a half years in prison for mischief and obstruction and Anthony Olienick being sentenced to six years for the same charges and possessing an explosive weapon.
