Before Trump was president, he introduced the CEO of a gold mining company that had rented the 50th floor in one of his buildings. In the short video, Trump kept holding up a gold bar stating, this is the future of money, and similar statements.

He knows.

But how do you split up gold between all the people of the world? Impossible, people aren't going to carry it.

People are used to debit and credit cards.

So you make a gold backed crypto.

Or multiple gold backed cryptos.

The trick is to stop thinking in terms of dollars and cents (regarding of which country's currency). It would be done in fractions of a crypto coin.

No longer use $4 for a dozen eggs.

It might be .0000001 bitcoin for a dozen eggs, or .0000000001 stablecoin, or .000001 of etherium. (Made up numbers)

And the fraction would equal a fraction of an ounce of gold…. not some worthless currency.

Each company that owns/stores gold could issue their own gold backed crypto, and not be able to expand the number of crypto units until more gold is mined and stored by them. Take the entire central banking system out of the loop worldwide. Each person could choose a gold company based on audits and trustworthiness, or as many different ones as they want.

There should also be free exchange of crypto for physical gold with the smallest size gold being 1/10th oz as it is now.

Others could be silver backed. Copper backed. Oil backed. Rice backed. Wheat backed. Any commodity, although that would require a lot more details to ensure the product is stored and convertible to the end user.

BUT - then entire system is still susceptible to being wiped out by EMP.

Between Trump's statements about gold being the future, and now crypto…. I think odds are increasing of gold-crypto marriage in some form.
