Google Restricts Election-Related Content From Its AI Products

Google is implementing 'new protections' for its generative AI products into the election, announcing on Friday that it will extend its policies announced last December for its search and YouTube products.

The restrictions will include a lack of responses for a wide range of election-related queries, including candidates, voting processes, and election results, Axios reports.

Products affected include Search AI overlays, YouTube AI-generated summaries for Live Chat, Gems, and Gemini's image generation.

"We're taking a cautious approach because we want to get this right," said the company.

Google says they've made the change due to 'misinformation concerns' - particularly around the election.

It's essentially up to the industry to regulate uses of generative AI around elections, as Congress has yet to pass any bills and federal agencies look unlikely to take any meaningful action on AI in elections this year.

So - with Google products nerf'd, let's see how X's Grok does with realtime election queries as we head into the home stretch. X has already updated Grok after reports that it was spreading election misinformation in regards to ballot deadlines in several states.

In response to queries, the AI assistant will now say "For accurate and up-to-date information about the 2024 US Elections, please visit Vote.gov."

"We appreciate X’s action to improve their platform and hope they continue to make improvements that will ensure their users have access to accurate information from trusted sources in this critical election year," said election officials from Minnesota, New Mexico, Michigan, Washington, and Pennsylvania in response to a complaint sent to Musk.

Of course, as Headline USA's Ben Sellers wrote this week, according to the Heritage Oversight Project, an election-integrity watchdog launched by prominent conservative think-tank the Heritage Foundation, the deadline for removing Biden from the ballot has already long since passed in Georgia, Wisconsin and Nevada.

A new development that merits attention. A complaint was filed on Friday before the U.S. District Court in Maryland presenting evidence that the USPS acted illegally in shipping at least one million mail-in ballots from a facility in Bethpage, New York to Pennsylvania on October 21, 2020. The suit was brought by attorney Brian Della Rocca, but the critical evidence was collected by two friends of mine — John Moynihan and Larry Doyle. Full disclosure, I have known John since 1998 and we were partners in BERG Associates, LLC. John, in my opinion, is one of the best financial and forensic investigators in the world. Hands down.

Here is the bottom-line — the truck driver, Jesse Morgan, picked up a container filled with 20 Gaylord boxes. There were mail-in ballots in each of the Gaylords. A Gaylord can hold from 50,000 up to 100,000 ballots. Do the math — Mr. Morgan was transporting at least one million mail-in ballots (already filled in with signatures on the envelopes). So, what you say? The mail-in ballots are First Class mail. Every piece of First Class mail is supposed to be imaged per USPS regulations. The facility where Morgan picked up the load of ballots is ONLY certified for handling packages and Express Mail. There is no legal justification to account for those ballots to have passed through that warehouse.

Let me give you the highlights of the complaint and John’s affidavit.

As a result, allegations of problems with the delivery of mail-in ballots by the USPS

were rampant and continue, to this day, to be challenged. As time passes, the allegations are not

being disproven but, in fact, many of the allegations have turned out to be true.

These allegations include, but are not limited to, lost mail-in ballots (which were

subsequently found after the elections), late delivery of mail-in ballots, improperly post-markedmail-in ballots that were still allowed to proceed to their destination despite post-marks beingprovided on valid mail-in ballots, and fraudulent mail-in ballots being sent via USPS.

John’s affidavit gets to the heart of the matter:

On November 21, 2020, Doyle and I participated in a phone call with a contact

(“NC”) who notified us of allegations that the United States Postal Service (“USPS”)

experienced certain “failures” involving mail-in ballots during the 2020 Presidential Election and

wondered if we would assist with the investigation.

On November 24, 2020, Doyle and I met with NC and others in Arlington, VA to

discuss the investigation and learn about the whistleblower, Jesse Richard Morgan, a truck driver

employed by a contractor for the USPS who alleged he carried mail-in ballots among USPS

facilities in Bethpage, NY, Harrisburg, PA, and Lancaster, PA (“Affiant Morgan”).

On November 25, 2020, Doyle and I began our investigation in earnest and

identified a few companies of interest and, within those companies, employees who may have

information.

It has taken four years for this to come to light. There was fraud in the 2020 Presidential election and the USPS played a critical role in making that happen. We will see where this goes.

Pennsylvania Court Forces Counties to Validate Ballots Despite Missing or Incorrect Dates on Their Outer Return Envelopes

The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court has issued a 4-1 ruling that blocks the enforcement of a crucial law requiring election officials to reject mail-in ballots with missing or incorrect handwritten dates on their outer return envelopes.

The case, brought forward by a coalition of organizations including the Black Political Empowerment Project, the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania, and Common Cause Pennsylvania, challenged the legality of rejecting mail-in ballots solely based on the absence or inaccuracy of the handwritten date on the return envelope.

Judge Ellen Ceisler, writing for the court, said that the right to vote is a fundamental constitutional guarantee, and any restrictions placed upon this right must withstand strict scrutiny.

“The date on the outer mail-in ballot envelopes is not used to determine the timeliness of a ballot, a voter’s qualifications/eligibility to vote, or fraud. Therefore, the dating provisions serve no compelling government interest,” the court stated in its opinion.

“The refusal to count undated or incorrectly dated but timely mail ballots submitted by otherwise eligible voters because of meaningless and inconsequential paperwork errors violates the fundamental right to vote recognized in the free and equal elections clause.”

The ruling effectively nullifies the practice of disqualifying ballots due to these dating errors.

“Based on our reasoning set forth above, we declare that strict enforcement of the dating provisions to reject timely submitted but undated or incorrectly dated absentee and mail-in ballots is unconstitutional under the free and equal elections clause and enjoin their strict enforcement to prevent against further disenfranchisement.”

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has rightly condemned this decision as an example of “the worst kind of judicial activism.”

Claire Zunk, RNC Election Integrity Communications Director, emphasized that courts should not undermine election confidence and integrity by striking down laws designed to protect voters.

“Mail ballot safeguards help make sure votes are cast and counted properly for all legal voters,” Zunk said in a statement.

“The Pennsylvania Supreme Court and US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit have both upheld Pennsylvania’s dated ballot requirement. But Democrats have nevertheless continued their effort to strike down this law by filing yet another lawsuit.

“Today’s decision striking down the dated ballot requirement was an example of the worst kind of judicial activism. Courts should not undermine election confidence and integrity by striking down commonsense election laws enacted by the people’s representatives. We will continue to defend the law and Pennsylvania voters, and intend to appeal this decision immediately.”

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s recent announcement to expedite appeals for 2024 election cases leaves the RNC with just three days to file a notice of appeal.

This ruling comes as a slap in the face of Arkansas’s legislative efforts, where state lawmakers approved an emergency rule mandating a “wet signature” for voter registration, Arkansas Times reported.

South Carolina Dental Board Revokes Dentist’s License For Removing Toxic Mercury Fillings, Citing Pennsylvania Code

The South Carolina Board of Dentistry has moved to temporarily rescind the dental license of a dentist widely renowned for caring for patients who have been harmed by dentists who expose patients to toxic heavy metals such as mercury.

The South Carolina Board of Dentistry, which is chaired by Spartanburg dentist William David Stewart, who runs “Stewart Family Dentistry,” sent a notice to “halt the practice of dentistry” to Dr. Blanche Grube by sending her a letter to her address in Pennsylvania.

Chairman Stewart and the South Carolina Board of Dentistry, which operates under the aegis of the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, points to the fact that Pennsylvania’s Bureau of Occupational Affairs has initiated proceedings against Dr. Grube for the so-called infraction of removing toxic mercury amalgams from the mouths of patients who request those fillings to be removed.

National File has reached out to Dr. Stewart to determine whether he is paid in his role as Chairman of the South Carolina Board of Dentistry, and whether and how much he is paid to fill his clients mouths with toxic mercury.

Pennsylvania’s licensure board is waging economic warfare against Dr. Grube.

The state that has the trans health department chair wants her to pay upwards of $55,000 and perform four hours of re-training in four areas in order to regain her license.

Whether Through Biden, Harris, or Trump — Digital ID’s Are Coming to America

The Biden Administration is considering an Executive Order for digital ID’s, picking up where Donald Trump’s left off during his time in the White House.

A recently leaked draft of an Executive Order shows the Biden Administration is considering expanding the required use of digital ID’s to fight fraud — a move that is being criticized by privacy advocates and civil liberties organizations. While Biden’s plans pertain to infrastructure for digital driver’s licenses, similar moves were made by former President Donald Trump under the guise of fighting illegal immigration.

Biden’s Executive Order was first reported on by NOTUS after the organization obtained a draft version. The draft viewed by NOTUS calls for federal and state governments to accelerate the adoption of so-called mobile driver’s licenses. “It is the policy of the executive branch to strongly encourage the use of digital identity documents,” the draft states.

Mobile driver’s licenses (mDL), or simply digital driver’s licenses are another form of digital identity rolling out across North America in 3 common forms. This includes proprietary apps owned by a local, state, or national government; various state-approved apps like SmartID; and the Apple Wallet, which 4 U.S. states are currently using to host their digital driver’s license.

According to a guide to digital driver’s licenses, users will open the chosen app, scan the front and back of their physical driver’s license, and then verify their identity with a selfie (or similar biometric data). Once verified, the user can began using their digital ID app as they would a physical ID card.

According to NOTUS, the draft order is aimed at addressing the loss of billions of taxpayer dollars relating to fraudulent claims to benefit programs using forged identification documents. The order would mandate federal agencies to adopt a “single government-run identity system, Login.gov, as a gateway to federal websites”. The same system would be offered to state and local governments as well.

If adopted this system would fundamentally change how Americans prove their identity online, file their taxes, and access certain websites and services.

NOTUS said they spoke with four people who have seen the draft EO and noted that the text is finalized but “the Biden administration was debating when to roll it out”. Another person told NOTUS the text was obtained from a federal agency, and another person who had seen the draft said it “matched a summary that had circulated among stakeholders within recent months”.

A White House spokesperson told NOTUS that, “Nothing is final until it’s signed by the president.”

Record 1.6 Million Out of Work Migrants Costing the Taxpayer £8.5 Billion Per Year: Report

The British taxpayer is footing the bill for a record number of out-of-work migrants, who are reportedly costing the government up to £8.5 billion per year.

A record 1,689,000 foreigners are currently unemployed or otherwise “economically inactive” in the UK, according to analysis of government figures by the Centre for Immigration Control. The think tank noted that the current level is the highest in British history, surpassing the previous high in 2012 of 1,628,000.

War on Gaza: Aid workers killed in Israeli strike on humanitarian convoy

The attack on US charity's aid convoy heading to Emirati hospital comes hours after an Israeli strike targeted a World Food Programme convoy

An Israeli air strike has hit a humanitarian aid convoy laden with medical supplies and fuel for an Emirati-run hospital in Rafah, killing several workers.

Israeli forces claimed the attack targeted “armed assailants” who were attempting to hijack the convoy, which was organised by the US charity, Anera.

But Anera said that several employees of the transportation company it had worked with had been killed in the attack.

All the fatalities were in the vehicle leading the convoy, which was the target of the attack.

Multiple Israelis arrested abroad on warrants related to fraud, money laundering, tax violations

At least 13 Israelis were arrested in recent weeks in warrants issued by Interpol, after requests from several different countries. In at least five of the cases, arrests were made in Greece after warrants were issued at the requests of France, Belarus, Russia, the U.S. and Germany. Other Israelis were arrested in Cyprus and Montenegro.

Some of the warrants were issued on suspicion of fraud and forex crimes carried out allegedly in France, Poland, Germany and the U.S. Others were based on suspicion of economic crimes in France, primarily fraud, money laundering and tax violations.

In Cyprus, two Israelis were arrested in connection with a real estate development in the Turkish part of the island.

Four of the Israelis were arrested after they escaped from detention over the trafficking of gat and after arrest warrants were issued by Interpol.

One Israeli was arrested in St. Petersburg, Russia after the United States issued an international warrant for him on suspicion of fraud amounting to 233 million dollars, committed in the U.S. and in Canada. He was put under house arrest by a local court, most likely because Russia does not have an extradition agreement with the Americans.

Of the 13 Israelis who were arrested based on warrants from Interpol, some were released on bail until extradition could be decided by the courts. Others remain in custody and have complained of harsh prison conditions and abuse from Turkish and Arab prisoners incarcerated with them.

Most of the Israelis plan to fight extradition requests. In most cases, courts tend to deny such efforts especially if the extraditions are requested by EU member states.

Foreign Ministry officials said the Israelis detained were receiving consular services.
