Big asses were propagandized to be attractive, as part of the overall effort to make people unhealthy and reduce population. Nobody wants to tap a beach ball, but they convinced many they did.
With all the particulates they are spraying in the sky, I wonder if in the right conditions, it could be ignited like a grain dust explosion in a silo. The sky would flash with fire, all the crap would incinerate, and a few minutes later the earth would be bathed in unobstructed sunlight. The flash, and the stark before/after difference would awaken just about everyone.

Dust explosions generally only happen in enclosed environments, like say within our atmosphere, or within a firmament dome.
Earth is called a planet because it's a plane.
