>but if you took a broken clock and used it as a sun dial you could then know the time. ironic isn't it?

[Circle and digital clocks limit knowledge to 0-60 and 0-24. Limited thinking. Sundial requires alot more meta-analysis and thought to extrapolate any data.]

>if a clock is with the wrong time but still counting correctly (with an hour being an hour) it will never be 'right' but it will be useful for recording durations.

[As long as there is battery.. the sand in the hourglass will fall/turn.]

>that whole 'broken clock' analogy is so flawed I aways get triggered to explain how flawed (but one could write a book on how flawed) when ever anyone uses it.

[I brought it up in connection to the fake news and how they are more likely to lie and bend the truth and sometimes they allow through some messages that are acceptable to be shared at the acceptable 'time' ..sometimes when theyre reloading.]

>I often see 'a broken clock . . . right twice a day' but it's really supposed to be a 'stopped clock is right twice a day'.

[Truth and lies within idioms are profound ..portant to uncover the wisdom among the lyricism]
